About Us
Catherine Norton is the founder and proprietor of Limerick’s
first private dietetic clinic.
Catherine graduated in 2001 with an Honours Degree in Clinical Nutrition
& Dietetics and an Honours Diploma in Dietetics and Nutrition.
Her professional training was a five year undertaking in Trinity
College Dublin, Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin St, St James
Hospital, Dublin and Limerick Regional Hospital.
Catherine is an active member of the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic
Institute (INDI), and as such is recognised as having the relevant
university qualifications to practice the science of Nutrition &
Dietetics. She is a member of the following INDI Special Interest
Groups: Weight Management, Diabetes, Cardiology and Sports Nutrition.
The Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI) is the professional
organisation for clinical nutritionists/dietitians in Ireland. Founded
in 1968, the Institute has grown steadily and it now represents
clinical nutritionists/dietitians throughout Ireland as well as
having members
world-wide.
Catherine has worked in the field of nutrition and dietetics for
six years. Catherine is a skilled practitioner, competent in all
areas of nutrition, with a particular interest in obesity, heart
disease, diabetes and gastrointestinal disorders. Catherine also
advises companies on nutritional issues and facilitates nutrition
seminars and talks.
Catherine is committed to continued professional development and
keeps abreast of the latest nutrition research to ensure she provides
the most up to date and accurate nutrition information to her patients.
